Ben Horowitz

Ben Horowitz is a co-founder and general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capital firm that backs bold entrepreneurs building the future through technology. With $90 billion under management across multiple funds, a16z has invested in companies like Airbnb, Anduril, Coinbase, Cursor, Databricks, Deel, Devoted Health, Figma, GitHub, Okta, Roblox, SpaceX, Stripe, and Waymo. Ben is the author of the New York Times bestsellers The Hard Thing About Hard Things and What You Do Is Who You Are. Prior to a16z, Ben was co-founder and CEO of Opsware (formerly Loudcloud), which was acquired by Hewlett-Packard for $1.6 billion in 2007. Previously, Ben ran several product divisions at Netscape Communications, including VP of Netscape’s widely acclaimed Directory and Security product line.
